The girls of Corfe presented an evening of singing, dancing, art displays and drama to friends and family.
Showcasing the girls’ many and varied talents, the performances this year were orchestrated by the Lower Sixth, bringing together a lively, entertaining and thoroughly successful evening that was enjoyed by pupils and parents alike.
Maddie Luke (Lower Sixth), gives her account of the nights festivities, ‘Not only was there singing, dancing and poetry, but we had our resident percussion scholar, Willa Robertson, on the xylophone ably accompanied by Mr Powell. The broad diversity of talent was amazing to see with pianists, including Aimée Joubert and Jess Lee, Liz Yan on the violin, singers (some performing original music) and dancers, including the extraordinary Brandi Akpobome, Lizzie Dorey and Lola Willcock. We also opened our own art gallery exhibiting the fantastic creations of the Corfe girls. This year’s feature film had its first public screening, starring Anna Mostyn, Louisa Wates and Brandi Akpobome. All in all it was a great evening filled with laughter, raising £358.80 for Corfe’s chosen charity ‘Mary’s Meals’. Thank you to all the parents who donated.’
A selection of photographs from the evening’s performances are below.
