Teddies’ Head of Careers Education, James Vaughan-Fowler, has lined up an excellent selection of guest speakers this term. Coming to talk to pupils about their experiences, and offer advice from their careers, the series promises to be a highly informative one for pupils thinking about the many different career options available to them.
The Spring term careers talks programme was led off by Air Marshal and former Director General of the NATO International Military Staff, Sir Christopher Harper. Pupils with a particular interest in global politics and public service careers had the splendid opportunity to hear from, and ask questions of, someone with such a wealth of experience in both fields.
Fergus Cameron Watt, Upper Sixth, says, ‘it was a wonderful chance for us to listen to a senior NATO figure speaking at the School. Sir Christopher was inspiring, offering us his first-hand accounts of the NATO-led intervention in Libya, thoughts on current global geopolitics, and attentively answered a wide range of questions. I would like to thank Sir Christopher for his time and sharing his thoughts with us, and Mr Vaughan-Fowler for organising such an interesting and enjoyable talk.’
