IB pupils at St Edward’s were celebrating yesterday as they received a very impressive set of results.
Two pupils, Izzy Rees and Kunal Barman, achieved full marks with 45 points each and 18 pupils achieved 40 points or more.
At Higher Level, 64% of grades were awarded at levels 7/6, 94% at Levels 7-5, and the average points score is 35.8.
So far, some 80% of pupils have secured places at their first-choice universities, and this number will increase as offers are confirmed.
Congratulations to all pupils and staff for having navigated so successfully the demanding circumstances they faced this year.

As ever, St Edward’s pupils go on to a wide range of different courses in the UK and globally. Caitlin Adams will study Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies at Exeter University, Lily Helling will study Physiotherapy at Trinity College Dublin, Athena Bonnefoy will attend the University of Virginia in the US, Arya Firake hopes to study Software Engineering at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden and Harry Holberton will study History and Japanese at the Australian National University in Canberra.
Grades were awarded based on a combination of teachers’ predicted grades and externally marked coursework. Teachers’ predictions were informed by a wide range of assessments, including classwork and more formal assessments undertaken over the duration of the whole two-year course.
